Dear Scribblers,
I send great apologies to all for the site not being updated last week. I was very ill (still recuperating) and completely unable to update the site – which leads me to send a shout out to any would-be interns looking for college credit, so that when I do fall off the radar there’s someone to help out!
I am still recuperating but am delighted to mention our two new writers for this week. A very intense story from Deobrah Bauer called The Stone at Horeb is a sobering read. We also have Sue Swartz’s powerful poem Apologia – for Jacob at his bris.
In addition, Leah Kaminsky, whose story Silent Night moved many to tears is our guest blogger this week, writing about her inspiration for that story and what it means to be a physician who is also a writer (or is that a writer who also happens to be a physician). Either way, it’s a fascinating read.
As the festival of lights approaches, it would be wonderful if you can dig out or create some Hanukkah inspired stories and/or poems.
As I’m still on the mend, I’ll keep this blog short and sweet. Wishing you all a wonderful Hanukkah. And remember to keep scribbling!
