This should hopefully inspire you all to sharpen your pencils and enter the 2009 contest, which has been posted on our site for some time now. You have until December 1 to submit your stories.
As we continue to promote all the wonderful places to submit your writing and enter competitions, we must also make mention of the fact that Zeek is no longer rubbing shoulders with Jewcy. That’s right, Zeek will now be partnering with The Forward newspaper, and you can read all about it here. We all look forward to this fabulous new partnership.
We have a new poem and a new short story up on the site today. Lose yourself in the powerful imagery of Cynthia Edlow Schwartzberg’s poem, The Drycleaner’s Daughter, here. Then head over and read Leah Kaminsky’s Silent Night, here. Leah is our first writer on the site who hails from Australia. Here’s hoping for more stories from down under. I challenge you all to read Leah’s submission without shedding a tear (or two).
Keep scribbling!
