Dear Scribblers,
A total self-congratulatory pat on the back right now. (The joys of running your own Web site). As many of you know, I took part in National Novel Writing Month throughout the month of November. Write 50,000 words in 30 days. And I finally did it – completed it – with a grand total of 50207 words, with just over 90 minutes to go before the deadline. This is how I have access to a NaNoWriMo winner badge posted here.
Hopefully you’ll be pleased to know that my novel contains one rabbi, a moving funeral with a great saying kaddish scene, a superb shiva (excellent food) and some ruminations on whether dogs possess Jewish souls – and no, the funeral wasn’t for the dog.
For this Herculean NaNoWriMo feat, I wrote almost 18,000 of those 50,000 words today. Hence, apologies for not having the regular Monday postings up. They will be up tomorrow. For now, I am off to bed to nurse my sinus infection (this should employ the sympathy vote I feel).
Thanks for all your support and I hope other NaNoWriMo participants will share their joys and sorrows with us over their 30 day ordeal.
As usual, keep scribbling
