Dear Scribblers,
We have a few new pieces up on the site this week. Firstly, there’s a wonderful guest blog from Erika Dreifus about the inspiration behind her story For Services Rendered, which we are featuring on the site. There’s a wonderful fiction submission from Claudia Isler, entitled Hail Marys, which should provide much food for thought, and poetry from Stephen Mead. Be sure to check these out.
Scribbler Tania Hershman is definitely keeping busy and will host the first of a new series of events on Nov 22nd in London for emerging Jewish writers. Called Speaking from Experience, submissions of short stories and novel extracts are invited and three writers will be picked to read on the night. If you’re in the London area, submit your pieces to: submissions@speakingexperience.com.
And once again, if you plan on participating in NaNoWriMo and have a Jewish theme percolating, be sure to let us know. I raised my funding and will be off scribbling away on November 22 in San Francisco. Who will join me? Of course, I’ll be scribbling from November 1 through 30 to get complete the 50,000 words required for National Novel Writing Month.
